Anderson is on the consensus list for Goat, so that was understandable.
Renan had that ridiculously impressive record, number-wise, so fuck yeah.

Aldo is a team mate of barao, and has vertually never had haters, so yes. Even if Edgar wins though, I see Conor fighting Jose, after that build up between them.

Hendricks? Thank god Dana changed his mind on that. No.

    MM? ... idk.

    Dilashaw? Hell no

    Pettis? no

    Cain? Unfotunately, no.

    Jon Jones? pffft as if

    Weidman? Something tells me no.

    I'm talking now.

Nope. Even if you holds the title for 10 years, I don't think a instant rematch is needed. Fighting 2 of the top contenders and win then rematch.

The instant rematch makes top legit fighters that loses get stuck in limbo for that division.

    EDIT:
If A wins B, then gets instant rematch and B Wins A again, then it's a trilogy immediately again.

Reason why UFC is doing these instant rematches is for the quick cash. It's good for fast and easy cash because it's easy to hype. But that's the main reason why UFC/MMA doesn't have Superstars like back in the mid~late 2000s.

All depends on how the fight ended and what contenders are next, etc.
If Aldo gets ko'd by McGregor within 2 rounds then I think McGregor should fight Edgar.

Only in 2 types of circumstances

    1) freak accident. If Silva/Weidman 2 had been the FIRST fight, then yes.

    2) GROSSLY poor judging decision. Like Machida/Rua 1.

Aldo and Jones would (and should) get an immediate rematch. Don't think anybody else does unless something drastic happens.

But what if mcgregor were to deliver a 5 round beat down/finish ala Dillashaw vs Barao? Then Aldo comes back, and wins a robbery of a split decision? Rubber match? That shit could back and forth forever. So where do we draw the line?

I think all the champions would most likely get a rematch. Hendricks was going to until Lawler got injured, why woudn't DJ get a rematch after stomping everyone? Jon Jones is the greatest LHW of all time despite your likely hate for his substance abuse. Pettis is their poster boy and would most likely get another as Weidman most likely loses by close decision if at all. THe only fighter I could see not getting one would be Tj.

I have mixed feelings on that. I'm not the kind of fan who requires a champion to decimate. Fights between 1st best, and second best SHOULD be close. I.. Idk. I suppose I could live with immediate rematch on a draw.

Aldo, Jones, MM and Ronda are well-established champs in their divisions. However bad they lose, each of them should be granted an immediate rematch if they want one. Because a guy (or a girl) who's dominated his division for years deserves some respect from UFC.

Everyone else shouldn't get a rematch at all, even in case of a controversial split decision/freak injury. So Dana did the right thing by making Hendricks fight Brown after Hendricks-Lawler 2.

What happens if the champ loses and the challenger (now champ) is busted for PEDs from that fight?

Does the former champ automatically get the belt back?

They were gonna give Barao an immediate rematch which set a retarded precedent
