Every 4 years Republican candidates talk about wanting to emulate him but how would his decent character sit with the right today?

Could his soft spoken tone and respectful demeanor hope to compete with the amplified, brash and rude Trump? Would his folksy charm still appeal against the trademark sleaze sold by Ted Cruz, Giuliani, Graham and Gaetz?

I fear the party of Reagan would today label him weak and he'd suffer the same fate as Jeb Bush. It's a terrible shame.

Not if Trump was on the ticket.

Or the Huntington Beach bad boy, Tito Ortiz.

Yup r.r was easily one of the best presidents ever

Not only would the right vote for him most of the left would too because of how full of bullshit the democrats have become. He'd get 120 million votes.

No, cancelled.
Airport in DC would be forced to change its name, if they turned their attention towards him.

For sure. He was a clever scumbag willing to do anything to get power. His acting background gave him a nice edge to manipulate dumb people.

Honestly, I don't think he was a bad person. His main purpose at the time was national defense and projection of our might.

No. Because open and free trade meant something very different then than it does now

Have people forgot that Reagan was an actor? He could be whatever he needed to be.

history has not been kind to his legacy. we are now seeing how horrible he was as president. if he ran now, he wouldnt even get the republican nod
