I think it's a resounding no, but see what you guys think. Most likely, there is no possible way this could ever happen.

Just do it in Brazil where they've happened before

In an exhibition match maybe, but an actual sanctioned public event? Fuck no.

I hope so, would suck if she never got to fight Cyborg.

or head to any reservation!

Don't reservations usually mirror AC rules? Also I know the ACS sometimes still get butthurt by what is done outside their sphere of influence and a reservation is practically under their nose

i was thinking of tommy morrison fighting post-AIDS

of course not.

Maybe the Texas commission would ok it. ;)

She is scared to fight Cyborg. Even if they would sanction it, there is no way she would fight a professional level male mma fighter.

Maybe we could get some feminist groups to protest and demand it to be sanctioned!!! The UFC and NSAC are discriminating against women if they don't allow it lol.

Why does this keep getting brought up?theres 1 of 2 things that would happen either the man doesn't try or he does and hurts her badly

I think she might be able to handle herself against an unranked flyweight or maybe bantamweight.

And I'm not talking about what the result of the fight would be, just whether or not it could ever get sanctioned at the MGM Grand.

I honestly don't think she's scared (anymore) it's more the UFC looking at it as a lose/lose proposition for them and not allowing it. Cyborg is unknown to casuals, so win or lose it wouldnt mean much, if Rousey won it might get some praise cause Cyborg looks scary in a HL reel, but most wouldnt recognize the size difference. Meanwhile if they did a catchweight and Cyborg did win she wouldnt be able to join the 135 division after that anyway.

But beating a man, even an unknown, would be a huge boost to the UFC promoting Rousey, and if it was someone with any kind of name recognition or decent record it could be written off with minimal loss of face if she did lose.
