I like the fight but until Masvidal loses or Nate actually fights and wins it is a pipe dream.

And a lot can change with a fighter in 3 years. Is Nate the same guy he was in 2016? He's 34. A lot of guys start declining in their 30s.

Honestly I'd rather see Masvidal fight Woodley, Colby or Usman next. Maybe even Robbie.

Masvidal would do it. He wants the belt or a money fight. Outside of Conor this would probably be the biggest fight for him. If Nate gets past Pettis i dont see why they wouldnt make a fight like this. I could be completely wrong and Nate might not be as big of a draw after the Conor fights as i thought but with enough trash talk, this fight could pick up a lot of steam.
