There seems to be a lot of hate for Joanna at the moment because of what happened on TUF. She use to be a fan favorite, I was hearing a lot of people say things like "I don't like WMMA but I'll watch Joanna fight" or "I only care about WMMA because of Joanna" now seems everyone is hating on her because of her actions of TUF.

If you are a hater now would you be a fan again if she KO Claudia in brutal fashion and show respect after (we all know she could) ?
 
Nope.

Was a fan until I saw her attitude on TUF. I watch MMA regardless of it being men or women competing. I respect her talents but her personality (albeit might be just for show) rubs me the wrong way. I'm one of those people who actually care about an athletes off the field/outside the cage image aswell. Pulling for Claudia though. Fan of neither, so let the best woman win.
 
Never stopped liking Joanna
 
I liked Joanna before TUF and watched only a handful of episodes of it cuz I found it to be too awkward for my taste. I'm still a fan.
 
I'm still a big fan of her, others are simply forgetting that Claudia isn't exactly a saint herself. Also, there's so much hatred for those for whom English is not a first language.

We have a TUF board. This crap should be there. Some of us don't really give a crap about the reality show. We aren't women.
 
Joanna is among the most exciting fighters in WMMA but that being said I'll be rooting against her for sure. I don't hate her but shes clearly lost a lot of fans

JJ comes off as a bully on TUF like Ronda did.
But can't deny her muaythai skills.
 
sure she has fans and haters but lets get real here, once the show and fight are all said and done so is the drama. before long JJ will go back to doing 10 minute time slots to promote her fights and 30 second post fight interviews and that'll be it.
 
I love Joanna, it seems to me her terrible english makes her delivery come off as obnoxious, coupled with editing of course.....Still a huge fan and definitely not a big fan of Claudia since that cheap shot at the end of her fight with Joanna.

I honestly think she behaved she way she did on TUF because she has that rare quality in MMA of being able to sell a fight. I doubt she cares very much about Gadleha or harbours any ill will towards her but she realises that causing drama will get people's eyes on the fight. It would be quite a boring season without her initiating little arguments all the time. She was doing the same with Esparza but they're now friends and Esparza was even a guest coach on TUF for Joanna.

As for after the fight, Gadelha actually punched her in the face well after the bell had stopped. No different to Daley/Koscheck which all but ended Daley's career as a top-level MMA fighter. But Joanna took the punch and then waved it off so nobody paid attention to it, pretty much saved Gadelha's career and you can see that Gadelha instantly knew it inside the ring after it happened. That's the measure of her IMO, not her playing up to the cameras on TUF.

Let's remember, UFC controls the TUF footage that gets aired... Didn't Honda complain about that vs Miesha?
