If GSP were to ever make his return and fight for the title, would it be the first time in UFC history that a fighter with that long of a layoff would come back and open as the odds favorite?
 
He wouldn't be favourite at 185 and if he was, it would last all of a day.
 
I take it Cruz was an underdog? I never checked the lines for that fight.
 
How long was Randy out for when he came back to lay that whooping on big Tim?

Lol at GSP being a favourite over Bisping. That's insane. Bisping would kill him. GSP isn't the same since his injury and retired after a gift decision to a far inferior fighter to Bisping.

Are we that sure he would be favored? Sure he probably would but a lil much to even contemplate since we don't know he is coming back.
 
I could be wrong, but wasn't Hughes/Gracie for the title?
 
GSP is amazing. We have rarely seen such a great fighter...but moving up a weightclass to fight a veteran And argueably the no 1 MW In the world is not a good Idea. I doubt he would open as a favourite...but you never know.

Per bold/underlined: where does GSP being a small WW come from? I see it from time to time and I bewilders me. He's 5'10" and carries most of his weight in midsection and legs. I don't see him as a small WW at all.

How did MW become part of the OP ? You completely did that on your own. It's a bit odd really. WW GOAT, with every fight at WW...TS says title fight, and you go in the direction of MW. I don't even see a connect there.
