I don’t think he would have. What do you think?
He would have fought Jones for LHW title if it wasn't for that damn colitis!
I always got the impression the Bisping fight was going to be a one off.
Yes I do think he would have.
I don’t think so he came back because he knew he could beat Bisping, and I’m not faulting him for that.
No chance. Everyone except GSP fanboys knew he was never taking that fight or the Romero fight.
Nah, he just wanted to fight Bisping and get the belt. He just will never say it.
Yeah maybe but I think he saw an easy out like when I'm asked to take out the trash I suddenly have to "poop".
bisping was an easy once in a liftetime matchup. that's why he took the fight. The guy got gifted a decision over silva. then took a short notice fight and caught an arrogant luke rockhold with a clean shot. GSP saw the opportunity and pounced. I can't think any other recent champs with 7 L's on their record when they got the belt.
No. He said he doesnt want to fight whittaker or defend a belt... He only took the fight because bisping had a miracle belt.. And was about out the door and out of his prime and he fogured it would be an easy spectacular mw title win for his record.. Little did he know bisping wooped his ass for almost 5 rounds but he pulled out a win and denied him a rematch and got colitis and wants to try khabib at 155 now
Fuck no lol.
He waited 4 years for a weak one eyed MW champ and then immediately bounced once he had to fight Romero or Whittaker.
knowing Whittaker was next GAVE him colitis
How embarrassing that MW Silva couldn't beat a guy who was an "easy once in a lifetime matchup" for WW GSP.
Yeah i reckon he would have
Maybe. He definitely only came back because he thought Bisping was beatable, but Whittaker was a former WW and not a huge MW. GSP would have given up an inch in height and had a 3 inch reach advantage so he might have still gone for it if he could strategically see a path to victory.
If it was a guy like Like Rockhold at a bulky 6'3" with 77" reach, or just a nightmare style match up like Romero he would definitely have walked away.
Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't GSP already plan to move up to 185 BEFORE Bisping was champion?
Gsp would have beaten him at any weight class.
39 year old Bisping was damaged goods after oldman Silva and oldman Hendo destroyed his chin. Gastelum destroyed oldman Ping way easier and faster than GSP did
