would Demetrious Mighty Mouse Johnson gain respect if he went up in weight for a superfight?

MM vs Conor and RDA??? Dude may gain respect but lose years off his life.

He would gain a much bigger following if he moved up to BW which would mean more money and a better legacy which is all that should matter.
 
He already fought Cruz, and you could tell he was too small for him, Cruz ragdolled him. He is more skilled now could be more competitive. But he gives up alot of weight.

Lost to Cruz already, but definitely showed he would do work at 135. This was years ago too when he was in there hanging with Cruz for 5 rounds. Cruz was too big for MM at the end of the day though. But MM has come a longggg way since then. After Cejudo, there really is nothing left for him at 125.

He'll move back up to 135 soon enough.
 
Way too small for Conor and RDA and Cruz already won. Not much hope for a super fight there
 
He fights and fights well, he's earned my respect.
 
It's not that people don't respect him, it's that people don't care. If you're talking about popularity then yes, if he moves up to fight better competition he would definitely get more fans.
 
MM gets out of bed at 135 lbs. Somebody like Cruz is well over 150 come fight night.

He'd get respect for moving up, but I'm afraid he would have a tough time with the elite at 135.

Honestly I don't think so. Most fans just see him as to small and he has no personality at all. He's just overall the anti fan machine
 
I think his best bet to fight like a brawler at least for a couple of fights instead of jumping around like a flea and scoring points.

It even worked for Gray Maynard until he forgot when to stop.
 
If he doesn't already have your respect. I doubt anything he did would change that.

Complete bullshit about the personality remark. He's a funny and likeable guy and interacts with his fans a hell of a lot.

Personality =/= shit-taking 25/8
 
He would have to move up to FW and and beat Conor for the belt to get some respect around this place.
