I know Mir easily beat Roy in their encounter, but perhaps a newly focused Roy now that he is on a roll could be more competitive in a 2nd match. Also, Roy, as seen in the fight with Matt, has seemed to improve on his standup, throwing more than just that big right hand. Thoughts? Any reason to think a 2nd match would be any different than the first?

No. The pool isn't that shallow.

And after DC is finished with Mir, there will be no more Mir.

And I'm sure you've been wrong before so being wrong again probably won't leave a long last impression.

If that pans out I could see Cormier / Nelson being an interesting possibility.

I can't locate the info now, but didn't Roy say that he was not well in some way for that Mir fight? A flu perhaps?

Only for the purposes of giving Nelson his annual reality check about his standing in the division.

Roy has improved his standup fighting and I would love to see them fight again, but there is no demand for a rematch right now. Mir is too busy chasing Cormier at the moment.

Yeah, we saw the rematch not looking ANYTHING like the first fight. Nog was destroying Mir until he made the mistake of going for the sub instead of just punching his face in.

All credit to Mir for the incredible sub from the brink of death, but "we all saw how the rematch went" sounds like you just looked at their wikipedia or something.

It's far too soon for that despite Nelson's walking pneumonia being the perfect excuse at the time.

I'd love to see Roy hit Cormier with one of his over hand rights from hell. Dude hits harder than a MFR.
