Would a Prime Penn be able to stop Khabib's takedowns?

Are you suggesting then that Penn would take Khabib down repeatedly? Because that happened in his fight with Fitch.

Both Fitch and Khabib train at AKA right? I wonder who gets the better of who in Wrestling, I'd guess Khabib.

Prime Peen defies logic. He loses to Pulver and then pulverizes Matt Hughes.
He is quite simply chaos theory incarnate.

He would def stop some with his strong base, footwork, distance control and alltime great flexibility when Khabib chains after failed attempts, but no chance he shuts him out like he did Diego.

Prime penn owns Khabib. Horrible style matchup for Khabib. Slightly out of shape, yet still prime age Penn, was able to stop a lot of Hughes and GSPs takedown attempts. 2 of the best takedown artists ever to compete, and both bigger than Khabib.

People forget what a phenom prime penn actually was.

I know he was a little past his prime but Fitch mauled him in the 3rd round. Fitch usually smothers guys, not pounds the shit out of them

Fitch was also a WW, and BJ outgrappled him first two rounds.

I don't think RDA has especially outstanding TDD. It's good.
He has aggressive standup and an excellent (and tricky) guard.

Gleison's TDD is pretty good, I'd say Penn was about that level, maybe better. There was several years where not a single guy took Penn down, and some of them were very good wrestlers.

No but I think BJ's guard would nuliffy Khabib's transition game. I see BJJ working off his back and then creating space and sweeping/getting to his feet.
