My vote goes to Cody McKenzie. Dude wasn't dynamic, wasn't athletic, had 0 stand up skills.. a serviceable ground game and a guillotine was literally all this dude possesed. Yet he not only managed to pick up 3 wins in the UFC, but put together a respectable 7 fights in the octagon against decent competition, win or lose. For a fighter of Cody McKenzies caliber, that's baffling to say the least.

Im glad you put the no women part cuz my answer would be the one who beat the girl who shit herself. Maybe George roop? He was basically just a tall skeleton.

It'll be a TUF fighter who beat another TUF fighter in the finale, then lost and got cut.
Junie Browning for example, won on the finale card (beating a guy who George Roop also beat), lost to Cole Miller, cut and won 2 of 7 fights outside the UFC.

Honestly, how Elias Theodorou is still IN the UFC, let alone has won half the fights he's been in, is beyond me.

Homie looks like someone hit the slo-mo button on the remote control when he's fighting, and every one of his fights require a Jones-like bump to stay awake.

This guy is still competing (this weekend) in the UFC, while guys like Rory and Larkin have been let go? dafaq

Mark Hunt's fluke win over Derrick Lewis

Artem Lobov. The guy is literally a punching bag who gives up a 6 inch reach advantage to everyone he fights.

There are a few women's mma candidates that I remember seeing on prelims for a handful of cards That were extremely bad. So bad that I can't even remember their names

Patrick Walsh....a guy who lost to Dan Kelly in one of the worst striking matches in modern mma.

Pretty crazy that he fought chad Mendez. Talk about a tune up fight

worst fighter to win in the octagon ?

---- early days = Steve Jennum.

---- 2000 - 2006 era = Shonie Carter

---- Current era = Artem Lobov

Lobov is certainly the worst fighter to headline a card

Rory chose to leave did he not?

No disrespect but I have to say royston wee. Hence why he got cut right when he lost to tuf China champ, even tho he was 2-0 in the ufc at the time. He's 1-2 in my eyes tho because his fight against Yao zhikui was a robbery.

The fact that an untrained prison brawler with literally no prior grappling experience like Derrick Lewis is top 10 in 2017 is funny to me.
I'm not sure if people realize how much MMA talent scouting has actually regressed.
