My local 911 service has released their annual list of the dumbest calls they received.

1. Wi-Fi at a local coffee shop isn't working.

2. "What's the fine for jaywalking?"

3. Pizza not fresh; wants a replacement slice.

4. "What's the number for my travel agency?"

5. Caller phoned 911 to ask for a taxi referral.

6. "Is today a stat holiday?"

7. Food they ordered is cold.

8. Wants help finding lost glasses.

9. Home internet is not working.

10."What's the date today?"

It's amazing to me that some people don't understand what 911 is for.

This. I have a couple family members that work in dispatch, they say dumb fucks call up all the time for the dumbest shit.

Another rang because a drinks machine somewhere didn't give him his change.

I assume these people must be mentally ill. If not they should be getting some kind of punishment for it.

A couple of years ago a buddy of mine became a home owner. One night around midnight he realizes that water is just rushing into his basement (he needed a french drain and sub pump). He didn't know what to do so he called 911 lol
