ive been on both sides of the fence, right now i have school at night and a flexible work schedule, so i usually workout afternoons or evenings, just have to time it right with the sleeping and eating, i like to finish at least 2-3 hours before i go to bed so my protein can digest and im not still amped up from the workout..........and ya working out eating (or drinking a shake) taking a shower and relaxing......definitely top 5 in my book
however, i used to work at a bank 8-5, school 6-9, and i wanted to join the AF (cause sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day SUCKS!) so every morning i would wake up at 6am and go for at least a mile run, i absolutely HATED it, but i knew that if i couldnt do it myself that my CO or drill instructor would make me do it one way or another, so even if i was still 1/2 asleep i would go for that run, by the end of it i was wide awake, ready for a shower, breakfast, and then off to work, i noticed that "increase in will power" and it definitely felt good, sleep schedule had to rearrange itself a little, by nature i sleep till noon - 3pm and ill stay up till 4am, sometimes later, but sometimes u just gotta say "fuck it" and get up and do it, your body will adjust, i think by the 2nd week i was waking up just before my alarm and could rarely stay up past midnight
so its all mind over matter, the important thing is to make time somewhere, because if you just say "i dont want to get up early" and "i dont have time at night" then it wont get done, get up the extra hour early and go to bed earlier or figure out how to make it work, a SUPER intense 30 minute workout is just as good as a slow 2 hours at the gym
good luck and remember a healthy diet is just as important as the workout, cant be hitting up McD's drive thru on your lunch break
