I have been lifting weights for about a year now. I don't know if its something that is serious but during Reverse Curls where you work the fore-arms, my left arm completely shuts down. I do 3 sets of 12 with 2o pound weights. I can go to 12 with my right arm, but my left shuts down at like 9. It literally just collapses as I pull it up for a curl. Should I work out that arm with a lesser weight and have 20 in the other hand or just focus on it alone? It doesn't hurt or anything. It just goes dead. This also occurs during Upright Rows. Alright thanks for any advice!

Which forearm? right or left? and are you right handed?

I'm right handed and its my left forearm that gives out.

I would think that if you continue to do them with the same weight, your left arm will be forced to catch up.

start using the "weak side rule": Never do any more reps on your strong side then you can do on your weak side. Stick with unilateral movments (i.e. single arm/leg), and the problem should correct it's self over time.
