And lol at comparing how they beat their common opponents. GSP fought all of them in their primes when they were on Huge streaks. There has been a number of debates about who is the better WW champ, between Woodley and GSP. Understandably so, the answers tend to come down to "which fighter do I like better" instead of "which fighter is objectively better, based on the strength of their opponents."
I will try to open up this discussion with a more objective comparison of both of these fighters' best wins and common opponents, as well as their losses:
Woodley's vs. GSP's best wins who have fought each other
1. Gastelum vs. Bisping
2. Thompson vs. Hendricks
3. Maia vs. Shields
4. Lawler vs. Diaz
Best Wins who have NOT fought against each other
Till, Daley, Saffeidine ........vs....... Alvez, BJ Penn, Hughes
Common opponents
- Shields .......... Woodley (Loss, SD)...... GSP (Win, UD)
- Condit ........... Woodley (Win, KO)........ GSP (Win, UD)
- Koscheck ..... Woodley (Win, KO)........ GSP (Win, UD)
Losses
Woodley's
GSP's
- Marquardt (KO) ......... for the vacant Strikeforce WW title
- Shields (SD) .............. UFC WW bout
- MacDonald (UD) ........ UFC WW bout
What are your thoughts on the comparisons? Are they fair and objective?
- Hughes (armbar) ....... for the vacant UFC WW title
- Serra (KO) ................. lost the UFC WW title

Woodley fought ALL of them several years after GSP beat them.
You're telling me the Koscheck who fought Woodley was the same as the one who fought GSP? Lmao
Garbage thread.
