it absolutely is delusional for woodley to think he can ko a guy that's literally never even been hurt in the ring...and is one of the best boxers alive...while woodley isn't even that good of a boxer....rory mac, out boxed him badly...and rory is only mediocre...canelo is a pro boxing world champion...he is as far above him in boxing ability as you can get.

Just cause Woodley been training at Wild Card Boxing club for 12 years doesn't mean he is legit, he just wants a PAYDAY he chickened out of several smaller show local boxing matches before so you know he was never serious, when he was in Strikeforce they allowed him to box if he wanted but he didnt.

What he actually stated is:
1. He does not have MMA fight scheduled, so he is ready to box
1a. If he was to box someone - it should be number one guy not some .5 fighter - which sounds logical to me (emphasis on if)
2. If he was to box with Canelo - he would not try to win in 12 rounds as his chances are slim - totally reasonable
3. If he hit Canelo on a button - he could KO him - maybe less reasonable but coming from a professional fighter who is taught to believe in himself, maybe hype himself up to 'make it to the cage' - I find it reasonable, keeping in mind that Randleman KO'd CroCop hitting on a button and Manhoef KO'd un-KO-able Hunt while back pedalling...

I don't see much delusion there a lot of hypothetical scenarios. Its actually the article writer who made this speech into a clickbait - Woodley believes he can KO Canelo, because it sounds better than "Former MMA champion, unable to schedule a fight, thinks about boxing and his chances"

2. But I feel like boxing vs MMA is getting old. Admit a biathlon fighter vs MMA figter would be more exciting to watch. Some nice rules - every rounds starts 20 feet from each other. Wu shu practitioner armed with ninja stars and two swords vs boxing champ - in a jungle. Curling specialist armed with a sliding stone vs chess master armed with a chess-board... and for the main event Silver back gorilla vs Cain/Brock/Ngannou tag team. Who would not pay 69.95 to watch? Seriously
