I dont think so. Ruthless will turn this into a war and wonderboy wont be able to handle the heat.
if wonderboy chases for a ko, he will fall for that trap and brawl. Then he will have a higher chance of being kod himself. Like you said his best bet is to snipe for a decision.Hell beat Lawler but by decision. 50-45, the dude is unreal. Its like an elite sniper vs a caveman.
Also worth noting that Lawler has an underrated possum game. And Wonderboy will be high on his own hype (re: kicks in particular). I expect Lawler to play possum early and often. Will be interesting to see what the odds are by fight night.
Agreed, it's a far-fetched theory and I don't see it happening either. Just throwing it out because Wonderboy's hype train is picking up steam and really you never know what that'll do to a guy (or girl).Don't expect Stephen to be high on his own hype. He was GSP's striking coach a long time ago and had people like Chuck (while he was champ) show up at his striking seminars. If he loses it won't be because of a swollen ego.

I don't disagree that WB is that good.
Obviously you haven't watched enough MMA to realize that MMAth just doesn't work. Styles make fights. Rory was timid? Lawler doesn't know the word timid! The dude is tough as nails and he will be in WB face, which would make it a completely different fight.
Not saying WB doesn't have better striking, I'm just saying you are crazy saying Lawler is a caveman.
Manhoef = power sniper
Lawler = caveman
Look what happened when Robbie gets outclassed.
