Wonderboy should of given MW a shot a while ago

He's just not big enough. His frame dosen't carry around a lot of mass. WW is where he belongs, especially when you consider he's still comfortably making it even at 40 while looking great.

He was in WW at a good time. Most of his opponents didn't really kicked his legs. They were too scared of the counter. Most of his opponent tried to box him on the feet.

If Rob and Till can fight at MW, so can he. Shit even Holland has fought at MW . WB can too... Also, there's less wrestlers at MW than WW so he can avoid the grapplers and only fight strikers. You guys are acting like there isn't more horrible wrestling matchups at WW than MW. At both weight classes the objective is the same now - avoid those matchups. Difference is, there is less of those guys at MW, especially at the top of the heap.
Rob and Till are naturally bigger guys than Wonderboy. Till didn't even cut to 170 when they fought. Holland was muscling Wonderman.

He's where he should be. In almost every way.

His chin isn’t built for MW.

Guys like Woodley, Till, and Pettis are dropping him like a sack of potatoes… imagine what guys like Poatan would do.

Mark Hunt didn’t have a chin built for HW either, got KO’d by a middleweight, same with Fedor. Seriously though, Wonderboy is underrated, he has 1 KO loss in his career and anytime he’s been dropped/rocked it’s been against legitimate strikers. He struggles with being grapple fucked but has never been submitted.

Holland is a 'between' guy that is small for middleweight and big for welterweight. If there was a 178lbs division he would probably be best suited there.

Wonderboy is an appropriately sized welterweight. Big frame, but never heavily muscled, so he's always had a serious cut but nothing crazy. He would be physically out matched against less skilled guys at 185lbs.

He can easily drop to 155 if he wanted to and spark Justin Gay chee

He just fought a very small MW. Thats not a good representation of the MW demographic, these guys are huge. Not sherdogger huge but still huge.

Nah, Wonderboy would not deal with the power of middleweights very well.

At welterweight he can afford to touch and move because few guys have the one shot power to stop him. Woodley, however, did have the power, and shut Wonderboy down.

That’s not even mentioning what the grapplers at middleweight would do to him.

Ok then...lol

It was cool a long time ago when the division was shallow

But let's face it .. WB was all they really had at the moment

Maybe. Just look at him next to Chris Weidman or Till for reference.

I think sometimes Sherdoggers become overly fixed on certain things like height and weight to a point where an extra 5 lbs will make or break a fight in their mind. Wonder boy is around 6 ft tall and of course he looks small because he fights at 170. Robert Whittaker became thicker after moving up so I imagine it will be the same deal for Wonder boy

But yeah, he may get bullied around at 185 and not because of his size but more so on the grounds of his limited ground game
