I think Planet Earth is a little much for the Cardio Kickbox fighter, got no issue with him being the best fighter on Mars

Wonder who'd be better at bore-ing the other to a UD - Fitch on the ground or Thompson in the standup. :D Could end as a draw too!

It's really sad to see for me to see as a Karate guy... Machida turned up the heat and won the belt but became prone to counter KOs and declined quickly after. Wonderboy on the other hand stuck to defensive tactics and locked himself in purgatory...

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't! I guess the only correct way to do it would be to win the belt aggressively and THEN revert to defensive stalling... but then the fans and UFC brass will hate your guts. :p

As the biggest Wonderboy supporter here I also think he beat Woodley the second time and Till. But I think Usman is probably the worst matchup for him although I would be very happy to see Thompson KO Usman

Definitely agree. Wonderboy is the best. The proof is laid out in the OP, not sure how anyone can really disagree.

I guess you like fighters who don't do anything if their opponents don't rush them.

Well if you let it go to the judges like that and then lose...rightfully or not. It’s pretty hard to think of that guy as the best in the world.

Both he and Holly against the wrong opponents look like shite. Yet against the right opponent they look like the best in the world. The real best in the world never look like shite. No matter who they are fighting.

I don't think he's done enough to leapfrog the jon fitch's and Jake Shields to claim that crown

I don't know about all that, but Wonderboy is a tough fight for anyone at WW. Usman may wrestle fuck him though.

It is weird to because I think he'd be the best guy in mma at throwing those kicks. It would help WB if he was more cruel & sadistic in fights.

I do think Wonderboy probably beats Usman.
But Tyron beat Wonderboy fair and square.

Well too bad. He's 36 now and his game is very dependent on reaction time so it's probably all down hill from here.

Wonderboy is insanely underrated. People are clueless, he's only taking the Pettis fight because literally everyone in the top-10 refuses to fight him. It's not an exaggerration, if you listen to his interviews he's iterated multiple times that he's went up and down the list at WW asking everybody for a fight and nobody has accepted.

I'd love to see him fight for the title again, he most definitely got robbed in those Woodley and Till fights.

In this exact point in time.. kind of.. i see it, very fucking close decisions in the wonderboy, tyron, till triangle.. different judges and he's the defending champ right now with usman as an unknown factor..

Add a victory over the bellator champ who beat tyron and we have the best ww.. the mma math is there but just no..

He is probably the fighter who came closest to winning a belt but he's not a clear best ww..

Edit* he also kind of fucked his own ass with everyone thinking he's boring.. better to go out on his sheild á just bleed than fighting in hope of a controversial decision..

easy to say from the couch but he can't seriously have been very surprised at losing a 1 or two of those fights, close or not..

Machida did have some boring fights but most of his fights were awesome. He blitzed enough and learned when to sit down on his punches to finish guys. Plus his fients and footwork were better.

To me Wonderboy is beyond boring. I know the guy is insanely talented but I feel it's like owning Ferrari and only driving it in first gear.

All the tools are there but he just won't use them.

Either way though I like seeing guys with different styles as MMA has become a bit bland with the wrestle boxer blueprint.
