The Wonderboy wins at 170 are better than Maia's, so yes I would place Wonderboy as next up for the title fight. I believe Woodley got his title shot when he was fighting Hendricks with the winner slotted to get Lawler. Hendricks missed weight, had medical issues and could't fight which meant that Woodley spent a lot of money on a camp and got no paycheck due to Hendricks being pulled out the day before the fight for medical issues. The UFC said they would treat Woodley as the winner and give him a title fight. I think it was the right thing at the time particularly for loyalty and financial reasons given how little Woodley has earned in the UFC over the years. The problem is that there was a long gap between that failed Hendricks bout and his date with Lawler for the belt and other WW fighters have added to their resumes in the interim. Do remember that Woodley beat-up Condit pretty good not long ago and Condit in the eyes of most beat Lawler in their title scrap a few months ago. So its not like Woodley's title fight is way out of line. I like Woodley and I think he has a decent shot at winning. I think Lawler is the better striker, but perhaps Woodley can mix up the wrestling and striking well enough to win. Woodley has power with his hands and legs, so he has ways to win. Lawler deserves to be favored, but I see Woodley as a legitimate top 5 contender who has a shot to win.
