I'm thinking of getting some gloves for my wife, I've checked multiple sites and they don't offer much of a woman's line. What are some recommended brands for a woman. Second, she hates pink lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well the whole "hates pink" thing just killed a ton of options lol. The only brand of women's boxing gloves that I know of, that aren't just all pink, are Everlast. And if you know anything about gloves, you would know that's probably not the best route.

What's her favorite color?

Everlast does offer boxing gloves in white.

What color does she like and what does she plan on using them for?

Butterflies perhaps? :icon_chee

on a serious note, why just not buy some normal gloves? who cares if they're mens or womens, last i checked everyones hands were the same. well just about anyway. show her the list on title boxing and find something she likes.

haha classic!!

My fiancee used to have a pair of the Rival sparring gloves in black (admittedly with pink trim). But she also is quite fond of twins, as the smaller sizes have a nice snug fit and they are generally very good quality.

Plus, they have lots of non-pink colours that are bright which many people like (especially women). Yellow for instance looks pretty cool.

Twins has a pair of gloves specially for women. And twins in generally are cut for smaller hands i think.

my fiancee uses 12 oz TU heatseekers v 1.0

Which makes sense as those are very small for a male hand.

Just get her regular gloves that have very small hand compartments. I got my (now ex-)girlfriend a pair of Grant Campeon super bag gloves in regular back when I bought my own in large.

The reason is I heard a woman's hand is strucurally different and the gloves themselves have more padding. I assume a woman's small is smaller then a male's small. But from the looks of it I'll Hafta go with a male glove.

That sounds like a load of bullshit. Women and men are far more similar than people (especially in the exercise world) want to think.

Fair enough, like I said I just researched it on the internet. That's why I'm here, to get the answers I need :)Posted via Mobile Device

The Twins Special gloves should fit the bill. Just be aware that you may have to step down in ounce weight to compensate for outside overall size, since they are for a female. Nine Dragons Martial Arts has an excellent (in-stock, in the USA) selection, and good prices, fast shipping, and excellent customer service.

Something along the lines of the bone densities between men and women are different, or so I understand.

I would go for junior size normal gloves. I know plenty of women that use those. Rival makes pretty good stuff for smaller hands too. No need for pink gloves.

That's not "structurally different" to me. That just means women have similar but smaller and weaker hands. Luckily they don't have anywhere near the punching power of men, so it all evens out.

The structure of the bone I guess? Eh, both have the same bones in their hands.

I agree. None of the women in my boxing gym have "women-specific" gloves.

I agree with that, my gf uses 12oz fairtex gloves and it fits fine for her especially when shes wearing handwraps.
