Woman starts using drugs at 6, becomes homeless crackhead, then turns her life around at 40

This story really hit me in the feels. I love seeing these rocky-esque comebacks in real life.

Woman names Ginny Burton is born to drug using mother. Has her first taste of drugs at six and then progressively gets more involved until she's a full-blown junkie using meth, Crack, heroin etc. She then spirals into a life of homelessness and crime while nursing her addiction.

She gets arrested for the final time at age 40. Vows to do the impossible. Gets clean. Gets out. Works in social services and then graduates college at 48.

why are people suprised that there is these type of people in the world who have amazing mind strenght when they have something to shoot oor aim for especialy druggies. i mean those guys use drugs and still have that unbreakable spirit that they will stayalive to get a fix tommorow and live like that for years and then you have somebody like her who redirected her cravings for fix into college degree
