Attorney Lisa Bloom sought to line up paydays for women accusing Trump of sexual misconduct: report

Legal powerhouse Lisa Bloom tried to line up big paydays for women who were willing to accuse President Trump of sexual misconduct during the final months of last year’s election, according to an explosive report.

The Hill reported Friday that Bloom worked with campaign donors and tabloid media outlets to arrange compensation for the alleged victims and a commission for herself, offering to sell their stories. In one case, Bloom reportedly arranged for a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempted to score a six-figure payment for another woman. The former ultimately declined to come forward after being offered $750,000, the clients told The Hill.

I think the OP is trying to imply that if they took the money, that means they lied, and if they didn't take the money, that also means they lied. Quite the City on a Hill, that!

Assigning loaded donors to people that may (or may not) hurt (or help) your opponent is just business as usual in politics.

From the Swift Boaters all the way to John Edward's hundreds of illicit love children - this is the way we want it.

I mean it's not that hard to understand, most regular people don't want international press at their door when they wake up and/or they're just plain embarrassed which I imagine many victims of sexual assault are.

Financial incentive is a great way to make them put that aside and come forward with their stories.

Not surprised. Progressive liberal democrats are just as unhinged as ultra conservative Republicans.

$750,000 for women to LIE about being groped, or paying women that money who were groped by didn't want to come forward publicly because of the scrutiny and threats (and/or they are Republicans)?

There is a difference there.

Wasn't is Bloom, who is Gloria Alred's daughter (Just FYI), that had that woman who was going to claim Trump raped her as a 14 yr old with Epstein? A presser was scheduled and then the woman backed out. Was she lying and out for the payday or was she spooked and figured it wasn't worth the money.

Look at the scrutiny put on all the Moore accusers afterall. And they weren't paid a dime. Would it be worth it to come forward if you were assaulted and have your life blown up and get death threats and harassed?

It didn't specify for all 4 individuals involved, but,
"The Hill spoke to makeup artist Jill Harth, who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Trump in 1997, accusing him of pushing her up against a wall at his Mar-a-Lago estate and groping her. Although she withdrew the suit, nearly 20 years later, the litigation resurfaced during the presidential campaign and Harth was thrust into the spotlight. She asked Bloom to represent her after Trump denied her accusations."
So it backs up the idea that the money is to help support the women who already had cause for a complaint.

And why should we believe this claim?

If true she would be disbarred, she hasn't.

Depends. If the claim is she tried to bribe women to make up complaints against Trump, there's no evidence of that, and if the claim is she tried to provide financial help to women who were making claims against Trump then she didn't do anything wrong in any way whatsoever.

LOL @ the Liberals rationalizing this.

Three quarters of a million dollars to go on the record.

Totally normal. No nefarious intent there. Lawyers always pay their clients to tell their stories. That's how it's always done.

ROFL. Fuck me running.

so a lawyer is lookin to cash in on someones misfortune?
