Woat?

This is my favourite:

While only coming in at 0-2, it's not that bad at first glance. Also, his two losses are against Chuck Liddell and Rampage... also, not bad. Impressive that those were his only 2 fights...

That being said, he lost to both fighters via Rear-Naked-Choke, and represents the sole submission victory (not counting submission due to strikes) for both fighters. That's a special kind of bad lol

personally i like Yuji Nagata

poor soul went 0-2. got KO'd both times in the first round.

By CroCop and Fedor.

He didn't have time to cement his status but shout out to Rolles Gracie for worst performance.

As far as recent fighters go, I think Ruan Potts is a good candidate. The guy just quit in there during his last two fights. I liked him, but he wasn't very good.

0-2 in ufc, prof rec of 18-21, plus one of the most recognizable ktfo victims of all time = strong candidate imo:

actually, was the first fighter that came to mind.

^ beat me to it, but yea me too

Sean Salmon

Yoji Anjo

He's bad but I gave Salmon the first round over Rashad. He deserves some credit for that at least.

Jorge Santiago is certainly an excellent fighter, but he had one of the worst UFC careers of all time.

1-5 with 3 loses by (T)KO across three stints.

Yuki Kondo owns a similar 1-5 (2 TKOs) record in PRIDE.

not in the ufc but my favorite, still going strong. currently at 1-37
http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Kenneth-Allen-13050

also, he has the best mma math of all time

Kenneth Allen->Cory Simpson->Bruce Johnson->Jason Ehresmann->Chad Reiner->JustinWilcox->VitorRibeiro->Miyata->Uno->Ishida->Aurelio->Gomi->Sakurai->both Takase and Chonan->Anderson Silva

that is godamned impressive.

Too bad that winning is not transitive... :D

Reflexive Property: Is it possible to beat yourself?
Yes, Gray Maynard on TUF knocked himself out. Check.

Symmetrical Property: If A beats B, did B beat A?
Mir beat Lesnar and Lesnar beat Mir. Check

Transitive Property: A beats B, B beats C, does that mean A beats C?
Shogun beat Rampage, Rampage beat Machida, and Shogun beat Machida. Check.

Ergo not only is fighting indeed transitive, but it's an equivalence relation.

Kenneth Allen is GOAT

Bad Math FTW

Big Phil, much as I like him, is 3-7, and lost 6 UFC fights on the bounce

This is bizarre and interesting.

In his defense, if I was a rookie with basically no matches, I would immediately go to the mat and grapple (poorly) if I was put against fucking Rampage or Chuck. Jesus. What a shit first pair of matches. It's comically fucked up when you think about it. That would be like coming into the sport today and your first two matches were TRT Vitor and Jon Jones. Christ.

Guys who sometimes look good at smaller circuits but just lost a bunch of fights at the big show.

Josh Burkman. After dropping three in a row in the UFC, he goes 9 and 2 outside the UFC. Gets invited back and drops 3 in a row again.

Wanderlei Silva. Starting at about the Vitor Belfort fight, he's 4 and 7 in the UFC while I think 26 and 4 outside.

Lol. I can totally understand, but this will always be my favourite losing record until someone has something more comical. The equivalent would be getting KTFO'd by Jake Shields and Demian Maia.

Also in the same boat are Pat Healy: 0-5, 1 and Jay Heron: 0-4. Both did face some excellent competition and have done well outside though.
