Let's say Rhonda decides to quit MMA tomorrow.

How would this affect fan interest in WMMA?

And how would Zuffa deal with that?

Shouldn't be too bad, 46% of the viewers are female so I imagine most of them would still keep some interest

Dana White privately begs Gina Corano to come back. If that doesn't work...

Dana White: We're getting rid of WMMA and giving them all to Invicta. Yeah man, it just wasn't working out, bro.

Wouldn't care for WBW, but give me WSW all day.

There would still be more casual interest for WMMA in UFC than the men's 145, 135, and 125 divisions.

I think they'd do a womans TUF season and create a whole new division using fighters from the most exciting Invicta womens division.

You know, exactly like theyre doing.

maybe they'd drop it like they dropped LW in 04ish.

maybe they keep it and promote the other women more.

shrug. my bet is on the latter.

We need to make acting pay shit so we can get Gina back in the action.

Duh you bring in Cyborg at 135....isn't that what SD has been wishing for?

but McMann/Davis/Zigano are just as popular and marketable for 135 as Ronda started out. Theres the reddit wmma graph/charts somewhere on sherdog

Dana and UFC bring in Cyborg and shit talk Rousey for leaving saying she quit because she was scared of Justino and how Cyborg is the real deal and best WMMA fighter in the world.

Dana would retire as well and they'd buy and live on an island somewhere with all the bonus money Ronda "earned".

no more wmma in the ufc if that's the case, they would let it die down...

Meisha Tate would probably have to carry it long enough until the next Rhonda showed up.

Wait, you mean all the new Cyborg fanboys, who never cared about her before, wouldn't stick around and support wmma? Surely, you jest.
