Who would have won if Usyk moved up to HW a few years ago and challenged Wlad?

Honestly, I think Wlad would have KOed him. Usyk's just too small.

Wlad would have stopped him after a tough first few rounds where Wlad missed a lot.

I like Usyk, but he's not tight enough defensively to beat genuinely good HWs with his style and lack of power. I actually think Gassiev likely beats him next time out (Gassiev at HW might be pretty interesting as he's a much cleaner boxer than I first thought and really one of the better fighters to watch in the sport going forward considering his age). That's not say that he wouldn't beat the majority of the division, though. Outside of Joshua and Wilder I wouldn't have a huge amount of confidence in most of the division beating him (and a guy like Wilder might really struggle before he inevitably lands his sledgehammer of a right hand).

Prime Wlad destroys him, and as the poster above me said, Wlad could probably still stop him.

Usyk is too small and relies too much on a gloves up defence for him to be able to survive against the big HW's. He'd do well early on and make them look silly but it would be a war of attrition and the big guys would slowly start getting to him. I like Usyk but he doesn't carry the power he'd need to beat big HW's.

About as bad of a matchup as you can make for Usyk.

That said, Usyk beats everyone not named AJ/Wilder right now imo.

Just to be clear, we never seen him at HW, thus it all would be speculation. He'd probably do it the right way and pack on muscle like Haye and Evander did.

However, seeing how Mairis Briedis KO'ed Charr easily, then Usyk still outboxed him after getting headbutted and lowblowed.

I can see him doing better than Tomasz Adamek at HW easily.

But against the Prime decade reign Wlad? 4 inches of reach advantage and 3 inches of height, Usyk should lose on paper.

We have seen a glimpse of Usyk at HW when he fought in the WSB. He beat Joe Joyce who is quite a big HW although pretty green and inexperienced compared to Usyk. He also beat Medzhidov who is a proper HW too though not nearly as big as some of the giants currently around.

I like Usyk, but prime Wlad beats him every time out.
