Allegedly, he'll return on May 25th as part of a 3 fight deal said to be worth £90 million.

The report reveals the 43-year-old will return on May 25, at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev - with an opponent unnamed.

Anyway, its April fools day and all - so maybe someone's playing a joke but I'll leave this thread here for now and keep it updated.

If it is true, how do you think Wlad will perform?

EDIT: Well guys. Turns out it was an April's fools joke. :( but there is a DAZN offer on the table though it has not been accepted atm. I'll go ahead and lock this thread I think.

I'm really interested to see what level of competition he'll be facing. Obviously his first fight is gonna be against a complete can, but at this point in his career I'd like see him in fresh matchup against younger competitors, instead of him facing the old guys who he's already beat or weren't good enough to challenge for the title when he was champion.

A Shannon Briggs/Wladimir fight might actually make sense now, as a Klitschko tune-up (if this news is true).

Hes very likely gonna have lost another step since the AJ fight, and he was obviously already years out of his prime at that point. BUT, losing a step from giving the top ranked guy in the division a life and death fight means you're still probably going to be a handful for most of the top 10. Hes also still got plenty of name value to offer and rematches with Fury and AJ would be big. Not a bad thing for the division if he comes back imo.

After the tuneup my bet is Foreman in Kinshasa.

Big Wlad fan and I will watch. At the same time, I wish he stayed retired tho

Edit: I called it about a month ago tho. Usyk vs Wlad looms.

this has got to be April fools!
I don't want to see him fight anymore, he's too old. I just want to see The Cannon stalking and trolling him in random places

I don't know, the German Yellow press has been talking about the huge offer that he got from Dazn for the last few days.
If it looks like the can't get Wilder they will probably try to get Wlad for a last run, a rematch with AJ after 1 or 2 easy fights would still be a huge draw.

This news will probably drag Tyson Fury back on to nandrolone, cocaine and alcohol.

LETS GO CHAMP.

But seriously, I dont want to see Wlad come back and look like shit or get hurt against AJ, etc.

Don’t they train/spar together now?

Do they? I didn't know, that is cool tho, big fan of both Wlad and Usyk. DAZN knows what they are doing throwing a that money at him, they give him a warm up or 2 and then cash Wlad out as a sacrifice to a prospect.

I assumed it would be for Usyk, to hype him vs AJ. Plus the battle for Ukraine sounds tight. DAZN certainly has the best HW stable at the moment tho.

This is fucking huge if true.

Deontay wants none of that smoke.

Wilder knocks him out then everyone who claimed he would lose then talks shit for Wilder fighting a has been.

So there's one more fight we'll have to see in between Wilder/Joshua. That fight won't be happening in the next few years.
