...here is where we stood:

Heavyweight champ: Brock Lesnar
Light heavyweight champ: Lyoto Machida
Middleweight champ: Anderson Silva
Welterweight champ: Georges St Pierre
Lightweight champ: BJ Penn

Jon Jones and Cain are on their way up, there are no super manlet divisons and no WMMA.

The best it ever was and ever will be?

Those days are over. Can you imagine someone not fighting someone because of Twitter followers in those days?

time to stop living in the past, now we're stuck with WMMA and manlets headlining cards.

and every UFC champion under 6 ft.

145 and 135 are good divisions, I'm glad they got added

Imo this was the peak

The era of long reigning and unbeatable looking champions was my favourite:

HW: Cain
LHW: Jones
MW: Silva
WW: GSP
LW: Edgar
FW: Aldo
BW: Cruz/Barao

UFC was a lot better when WEC still existed.

"finally in the books"? what 9 years ago...

I do miss the days of GSP, Rich Ace, and co. but we still have fighters like Whittaker, TJ, Max Holloway, DC, Conor McGregor so it's not all bad. I think people always look back and forgot that a lot of cards were boring as bat shit too.

That's an impressive list of champions, but today's title holders are almost just as good. In some cases, even better.

four of those guys have been busted by USADA so what does that tell you

We sre in the golden age of the UFC. Like Pride right before UFC bought it
