Is the time now finally right for Nick Diaz vs Lawler 2?

Both fighters are coming off a loss, both fighters also have very fan friendly fight styles.

I know the first fight was a very long time ago, and Lawler has improved tremendously since. However there is a backstory the UFC could use to hype the hell out of the fight. I think the rematch could be huge.

Thoughts?

Diaz would KO Lawler again. Lawler takes time off in all of his fights and slows down, he does that against Diaz, and Diaz will TKO him because unlike most of Lawler's other opponents Diaz will work the body and not let him off the hook for taking a break.

that's the fight to make imo.
+ that fight would sell pretty well.

If not.

Nick Diaz Vs Mousasi / Belfort winner.

Diaz tools Lawler all night.

Then the judges give it to Robbie.

Is normal.

Why is it the fight to make? Does Lawler even want to fight Diaz?

Maybe Lawler wants to get back to a title match. How does a fight with Nick Diaz get him there?

You sure Diaz wins?

You haven't seen him fight in a year and a half. You haven't even seen him look good in a fight since 2012.

I'd love to see that one, but I don't think so. Doubt they will be able to make that contract.

It's a fight I'd like to see. Definitely has appeal over Woodley vs Diaz.

Lawler vs Diaz
Woodley vs Wonderboy. Let it happen

Or maybe he wants a big fight. GSP or Diaz are his best bet for money.
