Winter Olympics 2022 Have Begun, Anyone Watching?

The winter Olympics have begun and I'm having a hard time getting excited for it. I enjoy olympic hockey, the larger rink makes for a more interesting game to me. The skiing events are always fun too but aside from this I don't have a lot of interest.

What am I missing and what events should I pay more attention to?

I'm not really excited for them. I'll try to watch some of the skiing and hockey. The U.S vs Canada is a good rivalry.

I tried to watch a little. Short track speed skating is usually cool, but they kept pausing it and penalizing, no flow. Curling is the cure for insomnia.

It's fun for what it is and I enjoy seeing sports you hardly ever see. Great for having on in the background on a weekend.

Not liking the coverage much, feels stunted. Like the camera angles are super tight in order not to show empty stands and the ugly hills with no snow on them.

Came here to say this. Only reason I watch Winter Olympics, at least the summer has combat sports, though they'll probably get replaced by tandem batons or some bullshit soon.

Wow, USA is currently in 14th place with 0 golds. Is this normal? Seems really bad.... USA seems to be performing worse and worse at the Olympics recently. Do young people not care about competing anymore? I think our culture has changed quite a bit.
