Dear Sherdog users,

I have a short question. Is there a size difference between 8 Oz and 10 Oz Winning gloves (MS-200 / MS-300)? Especially concerning hand compartment size.

I know that the weight difference is 2 Oz, but are there any other differences?

Thanks,

I've got the 8oz laceups and the 10oz velcro. Definitely a size difference. That said, at 170lbs, I'm able to fit both gloves rather comfortably, whereas a 10oz in Thai brands I can't really fit without pain. The smaller Winnings were ready for training right out of the box.

Do your 8oz laceups have the yellow oval logo on them? I'm assuming they do. I ask this because I believe it was discussed here that in recent years, the 8oz/10oz laceups have been redesigned to be a more suitable fight glove, by removing one of the layers of the 3-layer padding system, but the velcro versions of the 8oz/10oz remain unchanged.

Anyways, comparing the 10oz laceup and the 10oz velcro; they both fit similarly, but the 10oz laceup fit better (it is the official fight glove, afterall). This is further evidenced by you stating that your smaller Winning (8oz laceup) were ready right out of the box (I'm assuming they fit more like a fight glove than your 10oz velcro?).

I also have the 12oz laceups, with has a slightly larger hand compartment than both of my 10oz. Hard to notice the difference really.

There's also a noticeable difference in the knuckle padding. The 10oz velcro and 12oz laceup's padding seems a bit denser and thicker than my 10oz laceup, which is to be expected since the laceups (only the 8oz/10oz) are redesigned.
