Wright injured; card cancelled!
Former World Champion Winky Wright sustained a left hand injury during sparring and must withdraw from his December 4th bout against Michi Munoz. "I'm very disappointed about having to pull out of this fight on December 4th, and I'd like to apologize to all my fans, Snoqualmie Casino and VERSUS," said Wright. "I was feeling real sharp in camp and I was looking forward to a great performance before getting hurt. I promise that I'll be back and better than ever in 2009." The entire Wright-Munoz card, which was scheduled to take place at the Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie, Washington and be televised by VERSUS, has been canceled, and will not be rescheduled. Wright is now expected to return to action in early 2009.

Yea, I recognize Brandon Wooten from his entertaining fight with Kevin Finley and also he lost a UD to Joey Gilbert. I thought Winky wanted some notable fights, if he is managing himself he is doing a terrible job.

Can't fault a guy for trying to make a living, but I don't see many people interested in watching Winky even if he is world class.
Guy's an f'in' spoiler and a downer when he fights.
Little more entertaining nowadays because he's more willing to trade.
Unusual actually. Often as fighters get older, they become more reluctant to simply stand and trade becoming more defensive.
