after seeing how wiman was able to neutralize and counter a guy over tavares pedigree and skills, how impressed were u by matt wimans overall improvement on the ground.

anything that stood out to you, etc

The first roll to a leg lock was cool when Tavares took his back while they were standing

Wiman rolled exactly like I hope I would in an MMA match....perfectly!

Great control in the guard, nuetralized the GnP. Nice sub attempts, the roll to knee bar was pretty sick. Just an all around good showing!

It was a big improvement from what we normally see in MMA.

who does he train w/cus he just looks lightyears better, tech//strategically and athletically; he was dynamic, smooth, fluid and explosive.

tavares isn't the best, but from what i seen he has a very well rounded tech and smooth game; an wiman hasn't shown the wherewithal or skill to compete w/someone of that caliber...

    he loooks totally diff

Carlos Machado if I recall correctly.

His guard game was very good. Nice mix between how to neutralize your opponent`s strikes and look for submissions. Overall, I was very impress with his perfomance and chin!!

i thought i heard rogan say he was in dallas training w/ carlos machado....i live like 2o minutes from his academy but have never gone there.....carlos machado is pretty much the grandfather of bjj in texas.....150+ bb's running around texas w/ (maybe) 75% of them having trained under him at some point over the last 15+ years or however long hes been here...i train under one of his bb's......

wiman's bjj was very impressive from what i've seen him before.....nice right hook too i think it was that ko'd tavares

he did very good, was very active.

i think the key to having a good guard in mma is using heels on hips and high guard alot, which is what he did all the time. he kept going for subs too, which made tavares' gnp rather ineffective. overall great performance by wiman, he sure shocked me.

    wiman looked good

but rogan gave thiago t no credit at all --he was escaping and held position--getting the back --passing the guard
