Will Weidman/Rockhold be Lawler/Macdonald level epic?

Yeah it's possible that we will see a new side of Luke. Could be that I have never seen him in a fight where he faced real adversity and had to fight through blood and broken bones.

I did think that Rory had that in him, he has taken punishment before and he seems to love it. I get that same vibe from Weidman as well.

The fight will tell us.

Lawler/Macdonald was not a brawl. It was a brutally technical fight.
 
I don't think that Luke can take the kind of beating that both Robbie and Rory absorbed that night
The Chris seems more likely to have that IDGAF mentality and I would think he would take a beating and keep coming for more.

I think Rockhold is a good fighter but he isn't on Weidman's level.

I think Weidman can get in his face and make it a dirty grinding inside fight or he can gnp the shit out of Rockhold. He isn't going to fight him at long range that is for sure.

It has a change to be a great fight but Rory vs Lawler is on the all time great level.
 
The fight seemingly has the potential for a classic, but Lawler/MacDonald is a pretty damn high standard to match. If Weidman/Rockhold is half as exciting as Lawler/MacDonald, then it will be a great fight.

Aldo/McGregor, Lawler/Condit, and Anjos/Cowboy have fantastic potential too. It would be an amazing run of fights if somehow all these guys can stay healthy. Some awesome title fights coming up.
 
Imagine if Rockhold's face gets erased like Rorys.

The few girls who will watch it, won't either care or have seen him on millionaire matchmaker and want his ass to get beat.

Weidman is probably too classy to ask Luke if he spits or swallows when they wake him up.

I think and want Weidman to take it. But yes Rockhold has some seriously awesome technique and he has gelled his striking and ground game. The ONLY ones I can think that might match the skill level are Weidman, Jacare, and Yoel.
 
No Weidman will finish FLuke within 2 rounds and will make it look easy.

Much like Lawler/Rory, this fight is a co main under Mcgregor in Vegas. Now that it is Aldo instead of Mendes this is a much bigger main event that could fire up the other title fight. Maybe the rest of the card too.

This card is about bragging rights and i think it will be bloodier than 189.

It won't because in the Robby Rory fight you don't really have nuthuggers shitting in these threads. Perhaps it's cuz Robby is destined to lose or looks like he would. Truth is, so does Connor, weidman, & Rousey. However there isn't that social infection so it's much more enjoyable to watch.

People think weidman is a badass cuz he beat silva during oddball fights so it fucks things up.
 
Nope, Chris will pressure him and dominate him.
 
I think it has a good chance. Two high level MWs in their prime... should be amazing.
