Will Weidman/Rockhold be Lawler/Macdonald level epic?

Discussion in 'UFC Discussion' started by Bulletproof Acc, Aug 20, 2015.

  1. Or will one guy just get dominated?

Much like Lawler/Rory, this fight is a co main under Mcgregor in Vegas. Now that it is Aldo instead of Mendes this is a much bigger main event that could fire up the other title fight. Maybe the rest of the card too.

This card is about bragging rights and i think it will be bloodier than 189.

I think it should be pretty epic, but that's tough to top.

Rockhold has the record for most first round finishes in UFC actually.

I don't think Rockhold can handle that level of hurt. It will be a shorter and more one sided fight than Lawler vs. Psycho.

I could be wrong though, just don't see Rockhold as "that guy".

Rockhold has 2 finishes in the first round inside the Octagon. Nice try Princess.

I think it will be a great, technical fight, thought I doubt it will be a bloody and as big of a brawl as Lawler vs McDonald

  16. Yeah we have no idea. I doubt anyone thought Rory was that guy before 189. Especially after the Condit fight and his "safe" style.

As for Luke, i think getting your ass thrown around all day everyday by the likes of Cain and DC helps but we'll see.

Ronda doesn't even have 11 UFC fights.

I'd probably throw up if that happened.

Not at all, both guys are great wrestler and good at bjj, so one or the other will go there.
Also Rockhold will try to stay at range only kicking and countering with some hands, while Chris will go forward to land some punches.

    More of a technical battle
