I wonder if Weidman will ever step up to fight in the LHW division and fight somebody like Rumble or even Gus or Bader?

If Weidman thinks he is the GOAT and is the best he should step up and do some of those. I would like to see that and I believe all of those guys would beat him.

If he beats Rockhold and Jacare and Jones keeps winning that may be the biggest fight the ufc ever does. Fun to think about but I doubt it happens.

He stated he'd fight Jones but he still has a lot of work ahead of him

Weidman vs Rumble would be pretty spectacular.

Calling for guys to step up is just a lame way to diminish the accomplishments of fighters their guys can't beat.

I just could not be a Weidman fan after he beat Silva twice and then when Machida(my favorite fighter) fought him I was wishing the worst for Chris. But after beating Machida I gained a large amount of respect and not only because I finally bought into his great talent but because he seems to be like a down to earth nice guy which is something that makes certain people great champions beyond their skill set and abilities. The troll in me wants ViTRTor to beat him but the other part of me wants Chris to be able to stay health and have a nice run with the belt at MW.............I just remembered Jacare is #1 nevermind lol.

Weidman is too busy beating the geritol group. He would absolutely get demolished at LHW by the fighters you mentioned. Weidman's greatest advantage is that he is a huge dude that can still get down to MW.

Remember Rogan saying how big Weidman is and how it's a difficult cut for him to make 185lbs. Gotta think if he cleans out division, Rockhold and Jacare, he would look to move up.

If he beats Vitor and Jacare/Rockhold winner that will be 4 defenses against absolute monsters.

That gives him the right to take a fun fight at LHW if he chooses IMO as long as there aren't lots of contenders clawing at him.

Jones is ready for Super fights.(after rumble fight)

Jacare, Rockhold and possibly romero need to be dealt with before we can talk Super fights for Weidman.

Why would he fight at lhw when there is still a ton of guys for him to beat at mw? Its not like he is Jones or Aldo who basically have completely cleaned out the division with one more win each

fair question, I think the answer is because it would be a great matchup so all those other reasons NOT to get overlooked.

Give the guy a chance he's not exactly made a ton of defences at MW yet.

You just made this thread and had those thoughts for no reason at all. Since he stepped up along with Vitor and Chael to fight Bones when Hendo was injured. what was that 2 years ago now? WTF is the point of your thread? Oh and he's been talking about that fight every few months since. He said he was expecting possibly Bones versus himself in December at MSG. So literally your thoughts and thread on this subject mean nothing and are pretty much a fail.

Can Weidman match make and sign contract for all parties himself? Dur when is he going to step-up. What does that even mean anyways? It sounds so easy when someone writes it. Like one fighter can make the fight at any weight he wants, sign the contract for both parties and set the date. Yeah when is a fighter going to do that?
