UFC 202 takes place Saturday August 20 (Cost: $50)
WWE SummerSlam takes place Sunday August 21 (Cost: $45)

We have Conor vs Brock for PPV buys this weekend and I'm wondering what the majority of you think. Do you believe PPV buys will be down because of SummerSlam taking place the following day? Obviously there are people who watch solely UFC and there are people who solely watch WWE. But, there is a huge population of people who watch both and will probably be forced to order one over the other.

Nobody is paying $45 for SummerSlam. Everyone gets it on the WWE Network for $9.99 a month, so it shouldnt have any effect.

Agreed, Styles vs. Cena should be a hell of a fight though.

I doubt it. Anyone who gives a shit enough to pay for a wwe ppv has the wwe Network for $10 a month to get all the ppv's, or maybe even signs up the week of and gets they cheeky free month that'll include Summerslam.

Ain't nobody paying $45 for a wwe ppv anymore.

Anybody that's claims to be an MMA fan will watch 202. No one besides hardcore pro wrestling fans would choose SS over 202 but they don't have to anyway with the www network.

Great point. I just find the irony absolutely hilarious. McGregor and WWE stars having internet "beef" the week leading up to both PPVs. Both companies basically free promoting for eachother against eachother, lol

IF this was a WWE PPV with no network, history has shown the opposite. WWE PPVs get dinged by UFC events.

Times have changed. Just like video games wrestling isn't something that kids are the target audience.

Most of the people who plan on watching Summerslam have the WWE Network, so they'll only have to drop $9.99 for that. Any wrestling fan who's still paying PPV prices is a complete idiot, to be honest.
