He might as well fight Dustin Poirier and make some money to provide for his family.

It’s kinda bullshit though he may lose everything he’s worked for when he’s earned a title shot 3 times over.

Lol Conor fought for the LW title without ever fighting at LW.

GSP is a good guy but stealing Tony’s shot is kind of a dick move.

Anyway I wouldn’t mind seeing GSP vs. Khabib with Tony vs. Dustin as the co-main

I don't think there is any way GSP fights Khabib. So its pretty much Tony next.

First Pettis, then cowboy... how many fights does it take? Seriously.

He'll be fighting dudes outside the top 15 "waiting" for his turn.

I ve always respected gsp as 170 goat ( regardless of rigg spilling his scar tissue and red stuff all over the GON while not receiving a scratch) but after 185 vultured title shot over the weak and then immediately vacating after going back on his word - FUCK THIS. Khabib should realize that pierre could morph into a 190 pounder a day and half after weigh in.

Khabib vs Ferguson- let's just do this. Let Georges pick on someone his own size. Bisping was his size but it was a God damn Christmas present fighting like the 15th ranked 185er who happened to have title.
I wish I was a fly in the room of team gsp when 48 year old hendo put it on bisping again after refusing to fight Romero, ,
Mousasi and Jacare. Oh- the laughter that must of been going on !

If GSP does get the next shot I expect Tony to be the first challenger to the winner of the BMF belt.

UFC will make him move up and give him a title shot right away.

I know there was a brief period where everyone was talking about this fight, but when GSP retired, i didn't get the impression he was still actively working on his cut to 155.

If anybody has the discipline to make that cut to 155 it's GSP.
I don't see it though, i know GSP wants the big legacy fight but i don't think Khabib is there yet (he's only got two defenses so far) and i just can't picture GSP ramping it up for a scrap any time in 2019.

UFC paving the way for it an Dana paving the way for it, leaves sour taste in mouth

UFC asking fans who they want Khabib to fight next while pushing McGregor as their no1 choice, then Dana saying that if Tony doesn't accept the fight the McGregor rematch will make a lot of sense, when really what he means is they will lowball Tony specifically to get Conor on another PPV against the only other star in the weight class.

Yeah, I know. But Tony definitely qualifies as a BMF contender.

More than Nate in my book, BMF's don't waste their prime years playing chicken with the UFC.

Nah. Nate was getting sued by his management company. If he would have been an active fighter at that time, any money he made would have been subject to the lawsuit. He actually made a smart financial decision to sit out until it was settled.

They came to an out of court settlement late last year. That's when he signed on to fight Poirier.

One reason it took so long was the management company originally filed suit in Texas. But Nate doesn't live there nor has he ever actually fought there. So that got thrown out. But they refiled in California.
