Will there ever be another Sakuraba?

Kazushi Sakuraba has to be one of the most graceful fighters of all time, and is probably one of the greatest to never actually win a championship (UFC Japan Tournament excluded). I just got done watching Sakuraba vs Cro Cop 1 and it amazes me how technically sound he was in terms of grappling, had it not been for that stoppage I believe Sakuraba was winning that fight.

I cant think of present day UFC who resembles the same composure and grace as Sakuraba other than maybe Damian Maia and GSP, and in terms of how game he was no one comes close other than Conor McGregor and Anderson Silva. IDK if a prime Saku would ever be a champion in the present day UFC, but he definitely would have been a respectable opponent for anyone.

Are there any present day fighters who resemble Saku to you all?
 
If Saku had pulled guard when he had that guillotine locked on Wandy in their first fight he would have won the belt.

Saku is already an all time GOAT, if he had fought at his natural weight class most of his career he would have been way higher up the list.

Yeah, mid-sized guy with giant fucking balls. Endless respect for his courage and spirit.
 
Imagine Tyron Woodley, Damian Maia or any current day WW fought a returning GSP for 90 minutes and then fought Stipe Miocic to a 15 minute draw straight after on the same night. That's the equivalent of what Sakuraba did.
 
DUDE! I just watched Saku get his ass fucking destroyed by Aoki last night on YouTube at like 3am. It was so sad brah.

Even GUERNICA, the greatest damn poster this miserable site has ever seen gets the feels from time to time and no joke I almost squirted a tear son. <2>

I don't think so, not in the same way or even close.

In similar vein, BJ Penn, Fedor, once ever kind of fighters if i can borrow that phrase.

But then you get guys like Cerrone, as someone mentioned already, and other fighters who are different but still awesome. I put Nick diaz in that category too. Heck Conor is not that far off, he just gets that hate for his out of cage antics but in the cage he is a definite badass.
