Dave Jansen 20-4 (LW), Mike Richman 18-6 (BW/FW), Rafael Butler 9-2 (HWT) were all released from Bellator today.

Will the UFC scoop these guys up? IMO they're all great signings, especially Butler. He's a young HWT with serious power in his hands. HWT division could use some new blood.

Richman would be like the Cerrone of the lighter divisions. Tough striker that fights pretty frequently.

Thoughts?

I'd wager they'd wait out a few minor league wins first.

probably everyone except ben askren because apparently he sucks according to Uncle Dana

Dave Jansen could definitely come in and wins some fights, as he is probably a legit top 25 LW.

Though at nearly 37, I doubt the UFC was just waiting for his release to scoop him up.

I doubt they have much interest in the others. I suppose that any of them could get a short notice call, if they want to keep toiling on the regional scene.

why not,- the UFC is always looking for fighters desperate enough to take $ 2500 ./ per fight paychecks

They are better propects than most TUF prospects, that's for sure.

I guess Bellator found out Houston Alexander is not for real.

No, not a one of them that good.
Richman has some of the better boxing in the lighter weight classes. Thing is he is also coming off a suspension for PEDs. Doubt the UFC brings him in.

Bellator signs fighters UFC doesn't want anymore, not the other way around.

I think Richman and Butler are the better prospects though. Butler is a great hwt prospect.
