What do you guys think about this? There's a lot of money on the line and they can't get a return on their investment at the current rate so they pretty much need to take it to a whole other level. Celebrities have bought into the company as well so they're are a lot of people putting their faith (and money) into this.

The $4 Billion price tag was massive. Will the UFC become much bigger or was this a horrible investment? McGregor is the only mega star they have right now (maybe Ronda as well) but he's getting greedier and demanding more with each fight. I don't think they can do it with just him alone especially if he keeps asking for more and is difficult to deal with.

I heard they were working on a new TV deal too.

Will the UFC become much bigger? And how?

Or was this a bad investment? Where is the UFC headed?

Ronda and Conor will retire soon, and the UFC wont have anyone to fill their shoes.

Conor has one more fight then retires. Ronda the same maybe. The ufc will roll on though. Their threats are growing though. rizin with no ped checks will surely attract viewers. Jones should be there shortly. And bellator is growing.

I've heard that for the last 15 years and the UFC has done nothing but grow. New stars will emerge or be made after Conor and Ronda retire.

Regarding TS' question...it's hard to say how they will grow it, specifically, but they have a pretty fkn' good track record, so it should be interesting to see what happens.

Much bigger... No, I doubt it.

It's about as big as it will likely ever become. The mainstream doesn't even know who McGregor is. Ronda will officially fall off the map if she loses to Nunes.

The world was her oyster, until she lost. The break she was supposed to be taking was to make movies, remember ? Those roles, or movies were mothballed, when she lost.

Too many people view it as a bloodsport. And douche, big mouthed, fighters do nothing to grow the mainstream fanbase.

And look at Conor. Had everything handed to him on a silver platter. But he's too afraid to defend a belt. So he had it stripped. And now he refuses to fight at all. Trying to stay relevant by having a e-war with a retired boxer. That's lame as fuck.

If Holly had kept winning, on the other hand. She would have become the biggest star the sport had ever seen.

No... I really don't see the sport growing in popularity. It's more than obvious that it really seems to draw mostly the lowbrows of society.

Too much blood. Too many big mouthed douche fighters. And more of the other fighters taking the douche route all the time. Nobody in the mainstream wants to see that bullshit. Nobody over 14 yrs old, anyway.

plenty of room for growth internationally, especially Asia. It might not feel bigger in the States or Europe, but it will continue to grow.

All depends on how TV negations go when the Fox deal is done.

The UFC was dying for a good 4-5 years before it began to grow again.

I think the sport in general is gaining steam and becoming more popular and in turn the UFC is growing but I don't believe thier doing anything differently than the previous brass

Have they mentioned anything they plan to do/implicate to grow? Besides firing chuck and liddell lol

Yes since they've taken ove they have been putting together way bigger shows and they have trimmed the fat off the company that uncle Dana used to pay just to hang around..

The only thing the new owner knows how to do is make money.
