I'm not talking about becoming champion again. Will he be able to come back and rattle off wins vs. top level guys or will be bait for the up and comers and retire with a string of loses ala Chuck, Nog, Wandy

Kinda bummed that after he picks Diaz apart Uncle Dana said he gets Weidman again. Wanted to see him in there AT LEAST twice before a potential title shot.

I think he can rise again but it was sad to see him almost get knocked out in the 2nd fight from the clinch and if he gets knocked out again then I'd lose hope.

Diaz represents a style that he would absolutely dominate in the past (I would think anyway), so if Silva can't get off against Diaz then it's probably indicative of him being worn down. I have no confidence in a 39 year old man coming off of two ass whoopings and a broken leg. So this will go down however Silva and his camp choose it to go down. If he loses this he should retire.

I'd rather see him against some mid level guys and rack off some wins in entertaining fights than see him fight for the belt after Diaz. Silva is still dangerous, but do we really need to see Weidman/Silva 3? It'd be another 6-8 months before it would happen, and he ain't getting any younger.

I firmly believe he will come back stronger than most people imagine.. The psychology of Anderson is a trip. Hes very hard to read sometimes, and he changes his mind a lot. But I think more than anything he wants to go out like the champ he is..

That being said, a lot of fighters are different fighters coming back of an injury and with one that horrific who knows. But AS is not human haha.. I think he will surprise. I cant wait to see what shape hes in.. I believe he can be champ again if he looks good in this fight.

I agree with this. If he can't stop Diaz impressively he has clearly lost enough to not be fighting top fighters anymore. Stylistically Diaz is a guy he should have his way with. Poor wrestling, comes right at you, not great head movement, etc. If he has troubles with him it's not a good sign.
