Will Rogan ever learn?

I've always hated that "deep breath" line from Rogan. It's not indicative of anything nor is watching the clock. Pacing yourself in a 25 min fight is pretty important, I'd imagine.

He does point out the clock checking thing pretty often. In any sport that has a clock, it's a good idea to keep an eye on it. Doesn't mean you're gassed.

He needs to watch McGregor vs Diaz and educate himself on what it truely looks like when somebody gases the quits
Cruz is a savage even if he gases he will keep swinging until their is nothing to swing at. he is one of those guys and Robbie Lawler is another that in order to get them to quit you have to stop their pulse.

He didn't even get tired with all the running he did in his last fight. Sadly the crowd got tired and fell asleep.

Lol what an idiot.

Rogan is far away from being objective and professional in his commentary.

You won't hear other commentators refer to an athlete as a once in a life time mythical creature.

There's no excuse for Joe going off the deep end with Rousey like that. He definitely lost his objectivity and all credibility when it comes to her and her career.

But the guy has been announced thousands of fights and is usually objective and professional. His Rousey delusions were atypical.

Yea its generally indicative that a fighter can't get enough oxygen. Watch this clip of Nate Diaz vs. Cowboy in between rounds. Nate appears to be breathing normally but Cowboy is taking deep breaths and is gassed to shit. There is not enough oxygen in that arena to help Cerrone.

Get outta there Alan, don't let him do this!
Dos Anjos' kicks are twice as slow.

No, it isn't "generally" indicative of anything significant. Taking a deep breath can mean a lot of things. People take deep breaths when they aren't doing anything physically exerting at all. It's natural. I'm a pretty active guy and I just took a deep breath now while drinking a beer and typing this post. Cerrone was absolutely defeated during that fight, physically and mentally. To call someone out like Dominick Cruz for taking a deep breath is fucking retarded and it's plain to see why if you know what kind of fighter he is. Taking a deep breath can also give you a good idea of where your respiration and conditioning is at, and actually does have a weird "reset" effect, like Cruz said.

Maybe for guys like Kimbo Slice or some shit, taking a deep breath can be an indication a particular fighter is done. But for guys like that, it's pretty obvious where they are at conditioning wise by looking at other things outside of breathing. Ultimately, there isn't a singular, negative reason as to why a fighter might take a deep breath. Rogan is a knob.

Sometimes Joe's okay, other times I want to mute him. I'm fine with him analyzing the fights because it's easy enough to tune him out and he's pretty knowledgeable. I don't think I could listen to his podcast for more than a few minutes because the rhetorical subject matter starts to grate on me. Seems to be pretty successful with it, though.

OK so 99% of the time we've seen guys take deep breaths and look at the clock, they're running low on energy. I'm not even convinced Cruz is an exception to that.

Of all the things to bash Rogan for.... you monkeys pick the dumbest shit

Cruz has explained on multiple occasions, he takes a deep breath as a reset, nothing to do with being tired.

how dare he give his thoughts during a fight, like its his job or something.

Joe had some weird hard-on for Duane Ludwig.
He gave Ludwig invaluable advertising in the MMA world.
