Will removing embroidery on gi leave marks?

Hi, just bought my first branded gi (previous gi was supplied by the gym). I bought an A2 Tatami Estilo Leve. Width is ok but everything else is too long. I'm 5'6", 180lbs. Planning to have it tailored tomorrow and cut a few inches off the sleeve and pants. My problem is the skirt, I can't simply have it cut because of the huge logo embroidered at the back of the skirt. My question is, if I have the embroidery removed, is it going to leave any ugly marks? I don't really care about the logo, i just don't want it leaving any marks.
