Hard to imagine unless they pull that 'retirement loophole' for him that people talked about. He just turned 34 though and if they burn through their money one day he just might want another paycheck. Not sure how much he gets paid for his little cameo in Ballers and such.

Not unless they change the agreement he made with the NSAC to get his 5 year suspension dropped to 18 months.

He agreed to be tested for the 30 days prior to his next fight. If he pops for MJ during those tests it will be considered a failure, even though it will be out of competition. The fight will be cancelled, he will lose his license, and he will be banned for life.

Considering Nick will never be able to pass that kind of testing he gets one shot at this. It will have to be for enough money for him to pay hefty fines and still have enough for the rest of his life. He will never fight again after that.

But he used up his "superfight" cards with his dismal performances against GSP and AS. The UFC isn't going to give him a bunch of money to fight some big name ever again.

That said, it seems he will never get the fight he needs to make it worthwhile for him to end his career. He'll keep waiting for the call, and it will never come.

this is true. 34 is still relatively young in the grand scheme of things. I know he has made plenty through club appearances and shit. IDK what nate would help him out with or how they live. But if nate gets that trilogy fight, then they really wont ever have to worry about anything ever again

So much truth in this post.

It makes me so sad...

Watching a live Nick fight was so awesome. Watching his opponents start to slow down while Nick keeps moving forward, throwing ridiculous volume, all while simultaneously talking trash...

The only realistic scenario i could see him fighting again. Is if they do conor v Nate 3.

Conor Wins and they offer Conor v big brother Diaz.

They are all after the quick fix money fights and i think that fight would sell. It would also be enough money to make Nick motivated to come out of retirement.

Dat WME matchmaking will get him a MW or WW title shot in hopes of selling a PPV.

Neither would surprise me but it has been almost 3 years so I think no is maybe the safer bet.I don't really give a shit either way, just to see him fight once and disappear again, that should have been in the poll.

Probably not.

He'd probably come back for a fight if the offer was right, but honestly he doesn't deserve the kind of fight that would come with the "right" offer. He'd want a top-5 fight or even a title shot, but there's a line and he needs to earn it.

That said, this is the UFC, so it's also possible Dana gives him a title shot for no reason.

I didn't see an option for "I don't care".

That was option "don't click the thread" when the subject is clearly labeled in the thread title.

Unless you were the guy back when Dateline would have people call a number to vote that cost a dollar per a vote and the choices were "yes, no, unsure". I've always wondered for the last 20 years who are these people with so much money that they'd spend it to say unsure.
