Will Nick Diaz be banned for life?

The NSAC fucked up by not handling the pre-fight tests properly. they sanctioned a fight between Nick and someone on PEDs.

This was the NSAC's biggest payday in a while.

They probably fine him big, but suspend him no more than 1 year so that he can come back and fight Anderson in Nevada in a rematch next year, and make the NSAC some more of that Anderson Silva money.

If NSAC goes over board with Nick, I think the Government might take notice...and it can backfire on NSAC's power.

How so?? Nick is an employee of the UFC. His fight was sanctioned under the NSAC. He agreed to their terms, signed the contract, and then knowingly broke the terms. The NSAC has every right to discipline him, and HARSHLY considering he's done this THREE TIMES now.

The government has NOTHING to do with this. How many people do you think get fired from "normal" jobs for testing positive for weed. To make a stand for a repeat offender in MMA would never happen with the government.

Nick has been incredibly stupid, three times over. And he's going to pay for it, as he should.

wtf are u.. some militant christian ? you can't be serious ...

also, 300k ? shiiiiiiiiite !

The fans just don't care about marijuana

The only people who care about marijuana at this point, after all of the bad research has been debunked, and all of the legitimate research has shown it beneficial properties, are the people who make money off of it being illegal. Guys shouldn't fight within 24 hours of ingesting it, and it should be left at that. Even if a guy uses it after the weigh ins to relax his body and help him sleep, cannabis isn't going to affect him during the fight, positively or negatively, outside of the benefit of getting a good night of sleep.

Are you on drugs.

Yeah, there was a paraplegic guy who used medical cannabis outside of work for his health issues (pain, etc.), and he was still fired from Dish Network when he tested positive for cannabis. He appealed, and lost, the court said Dish Network was within its rights. Until cannabis is rescheduled based on science, and not scheduled based on overwhelmingly debunked propaganda, cannabis users are still vulnerable.

I'd like see him fight again, but really at this point its not like he is going to have huge fights in the future either way. Maybe against Lawler if he isn't a champion in another year. Again though how many good fights do either have in the tank after their long brutal careers? Another year from now they both could easily be show signs of damage and not be the fighters they once were.

Oh well, watching Nick Diaz in the UFC is like watching a comedian who can defend himself.

It isn't going to be pretty. I doubt he's going to be banned for life, but he's going to banned long enough for him to actually retire for good.

eventually I'd say he will actually get banned for life. When the new stricter penalties go into effect...if they do...he's done son.
