WILL Mcgregor vs. Ferguson be Conors next fight?

I see a lot of talk about McGregor fighting Diaz, Mayweather, and Khabib next, but those fights wont happen.

Lets talk about Diaz first. Yes, the UFC can make money off this fight, but if Conor loses at LW to a fringe top 10 Nate Diaz his career will be over. The UFC realizes this is not the time.

The Mayweather fight has zero appeal with Mcgregor coming off a loss. He's not even a champion of his own sport how can you possibly sell another cross over boxing match with Mayweather? This fight wont sell and everyone knows now is not the time.

Khabib wont happen because the result was definitive AND he will be getting suspended or stripped.

That leaves only one fight, Tony Ferguson for the LW belt. Ferguson has to get the title shot with his most recent win. If Conor wins this positions the UFC to have a big money Conor/Khabib rematch once his suspension is served, OR if Ferguson wins to finally have Khabib/Ferguson.

Ultimately I put the odds ay 95% that Conor faces Ferguson next for some type of belt. The other 5% is if the UFC is Dumb enough to have Conor face Diaz again.

Khabib is getting suspended or stripped. Hence, they will make Mcgregor/Ferguson. Even by UFC money grabbing standards, they have to give Ferguson his title shot. Mcgregor/Ferguson for a belt solves both problems and sets up a big money unification bout.

IMO, the UFC should hold Ferguson until Khabib's suspension is up. Make Khabib vs. Ferguson.

In the meantime, make Conor vs. Diaz 3 since Poirier is out. They can even sell it as a #1 contenders match if they want.

Definitely a money fight, but I think Khabib vs Ferguson would also be a big draw as well.

Doesn't seem right to me that Conor would get a second chance at the title ahead of someone else, especially since it wasn't a controversial decision.

Financially Conor Khabib rematch makes most sense. Will happen If gsp Khabib doesn’t.

Gsp Khabib will draw but not like Conor Khabib.

WWF probubaly knows gsp vs winner Conor Khabib will draw after rematch.

Gsp Khabib goes first And GSP wins, now Khabib Conor does have same drawing power and neither are holding the belt.

I’m sure they’ll push as hard as they can to have Conor Khabib rematch as fast as possible for most draw power and knownthey have gsp on the shelf for after
