Conor is a master mind at talking trash and getting under his opponent's skin.

Before the Aldo fight, most people favored Aldo to win. Then we all saw what happened. Aldo abandoned his cautious and technical gameplan that had worked for him for the past 10 years and charged in like a mad man before getting KTFO with a beautiful counter by Conor.

Will this happen to Floyd? He obviously is a way better boxer but he has never faced a trash talker like McG before. Will Conor piss him off that much and take him out of his typical gameplan?

The logical mind says no, but honestly who the fuck knows. It really depends on how much exposure they have to each other. If they have two press conferences and are only face to face a couple times then I don't think Conor can get under his skin, but if they have 5-10 encounters where they're in the same room then that makes it more interesting because Conor can make Floyd look simple and a man like Floyd doesn't like looking bad in front of people.
Again, just because Conor gets under his skin doesn't necessarily mean floyd is gonna abandon his game plan, it can happen though.

No, because Floyd is arguably the smartest boxer to ever live. Floyd never takes a fight off, hence the 49-0 record. He will do as he always does. Methodically pick his opponent apart. Floyd always thinks defense first, and it will be no different in this fight. He may talk shit about Conor's boxing and so on outside of the ring strictly for hype and media purposes, but he will not underestimate Conor once they step in the ring. It's why he has been so good for so long.

Floyd is objectively so far from being emotionally invested into this game. He fought who is who's in boxing and there was never a fight where he was behaving differently from his usual pattern.
Conor's trash talk will NOT affect him. Never. Floyd is a unique package...where a little bit of dumbness (for boxing it's his ASSET) meets astonishing work ethic and skills. Conor doesn't realize the light-years gap between them.

Conor would have to mentally destroy Floyd prior to the fight for that to happen, which would very unlikely.

Floyds trash talk was way better.
Conors trying to be him.

Floyd has answered questions from the fucking commentators while fighting and dominating.

I'll have to find the clip

Lampley asks Roy Jones if he likes the Steelers or the Patriots. Floyd answers Patriots.
Next round Lampley goes "Floyd, Eagles or Falcons?" Floyd answers "I like Michael Vick"

Lampley says that years prior he commented "that's the 2nd time Floyds switched to southpaw this fight"
Floyd over hears him and goes "third"

No. For one, Floyd is a point fighter and not known for knocking guys out, so he has no reason to go in there and try to do something out of the norm. Also, if he has any concern going into this fight, it is about Conor's power. Conor only has a puncher's chance going into this fight, so Floyd isn't going to open himself up to Conor's only strength.

The only way I see Floyd making a mistake like that is if Conor baits him during the fight, as in Conor goes out there fighting a little slower than he is capable, throwing slower punches with poor timing. Then when Floyd picks up on that timing and gets confident and lets his guard down to pick Conor apart, Conor turns it up and catches him with something he's not expecting.

If Floyd want to talk trash and get under his Conors skin he will too. He has the resources and employees in his company to produce a 25 min stand up comedy Roast set about Conor. And Floyd is a much more wise defensive striker than Aldo, so Floyd will not be runnin chin first in.

Floyd has more KOs than decisions.
And those are against actual boxers. Not guys who play mma

Was Floyd staying calm and thinking defense first when he beat up his old lady?

Didn't happen though, Aldo threw a punch he throws in every fight.

Conor was the only fighter good enough to make him pay.

Will never happen, Floyd is the most patient fighter in boxing. He doesn't give a fuck what anybody thinks. He will stick to his game plan no matter what for the entire fight.

Floyd is perfectly fine winning every round because of his defense and getting 2 clean pop shots in for the entire round and doing that for 12 rounds to win the most boring decision ever.

Yeah but in this case he is not fighting a world class boxer.

Which means he will up the pace to a whole 4 a round, lol.

Here is how I see it going.

As Conor fades round by round and gets more sloppy, floyd will pick up the pace and finally turn on the offense more and more as it is safe to do so and as his confidence soars when he realizes how easy it is. My prediction, referee stoppage as Conor keeps taking too many unanswered shots.

This could easily all happen within a round or two so expect a pretty boring fight until then.

Floyd will not go out on an offensive limb until it is safe to do so. If Conor can hang in there, Floyd will be happy to go the distance in his usual style, but I think Conor will fade too much later in the fight.

Tell that to 26 fighters he has knocked out
