Will Dos Anjos do better than Mendes?

RDA has looked unstoppable lately

He has a suspect chin though

He will likely spam TD attempts and either get knocked out in the process, or take Conor down and sub him.

UFC uploaded the fight to Youtube after the RDA vs Pettis fight. I know it's fresh in memory but I had a few beers in me at the time and having watched both fights one after the other there I'd have to say that RDA looked explosive and unstoppable and Conor looked a little bit laboured and very stoppable. I say that as a Conor fan, by the way. I wonder how bad the knee injury really was in the Mendes fight?

I just did the same, first rewatched Conor/Mendes, then RDA/Pettis, and I've never been more confident that RDA will win.

Of course there's no guarantee, and a big strike can end it either way, but how Conor is not a sizable underdog in this one is beyond me.

In the first round it's about a 50/50 fight, but I believe with every round RDA's chances increase by about 20%.

march 5 you will be surprised, in the mendes fight conor was different due to bad weight cut and a bad injury

RDA really isn't anything like Mendes.

RDA likes to clinch and pull you down. He doesn't shoot from a million miles away and explode like Mendes does. Mendes was an NCAA all-american and it shows with his various takedowns. RDA is a BJJ specialist and he really needs to get his hands on you to drag you down, hence why RDA really came alive when he got that really aggressive style which closes people against the cage and into his hands.

RDA may very well take Conor down and destroy him, but it won't look anything like Mendes.

I doubt it, he was also fighting a 5'4" guy with foot long arms who doesn't kick, and he still got tagged over and over.

In a fight I guess anything is possible, but I will be very surprised if RDA doesn't impose his will against Conor.

You people are just praying that McGregor loses. It's sad really

I think RDA can sub him. I think an RDA sub is the most likely outcome. But yeah, McGregor definitely has the ability to KO him.
This article made me re-watch it, and I knew Mendes landed but on a second watch he literally nailed him a whole lot in Round 1, Rogan was awful with McGregor bias by the way. I think RDA walks through him, I hate McGregor so I guess I'm a little bias - I'm also a pretty knowledgeable fan, I hated TJ and picked him over Cruz, so my bias meter isn't too high.

You just contradicted yourself. Also your username points to you being not so smart.

Another thing I will say, Mendes was exhausted - we all know this, but I honestly believe if he didn't go for that guillotine at the end of Round 2 he would have won the fight.

He took minimal damage through 10 minutes, would have had a minute or so to rest and catch his wind. Would have taken him down the next 3 rounds with ease, and I think would have won it. But hey, he might have got even more exhausted and KO'd in 3 or 4 but hey... guess we'll never know.

My point was bias doesn't get in the way of me having a prediction. I wanted Cruz to win, and he was great, but let's not act like TJ got washed in that fight.

My point was if I genuinely thought McGregor would win, I'd say. But I just don't see it.

PS. 1, 2 and 5.

Totally agree with this, was surprised at how hard he was getting tagged. My only pro-McGregor point is he did look like an AIDS victim in that fight, looked very, very unhealthy.

But I'm just thinking of how good that top control is of RDA. You don't get back up when he takes you down. Nate Diaz and Pettis' BJJ makes them look like Fabricio Werdum compared to C Mc.

I mostly just wanted to give you shit about your username. Condit should be champ and has over 90% finish rate

yes it will go a little longer but with same outcome

Haha, love the honesty.

Wouldn't go as far as to say I'm a Condit fan, but I respect the guy. Amazing fighter on his day, which makes it worse that he ran from Diaz, imagine the war if they'd gone toe to toe. It kind of caught up with him in the Lawler fight, a bit of karma.

Diaz my favourite fighter though... so there's some bias for ya.

I have to give mad props to McGregor for wanting to fight Dos Anjos. IMO he's a badass for taking this fight win of lose. With that said I believe he gets destroyed by RDA. Mendez took Conor down several times and managed to drop elbows on him. If RDA gets mount it's not going to be a good night for McGregor. I'm curious to see if McGregor can get inside RDA's head. Love or hate him, McGregor is an exciting fugger.

Did you just copy/paste Zahabi? Nice one Kenny.

It's a coincidence, I was watched the video with Firas and he happened to mention a lot of things that I thought about this fight already. Its not like its very in depth analysis, pretty much anyone who watches RDA fight can see these things and draw the same opinion. The only part which I learned from Firas was that his kicks are more damaging than Aldos, I watched Pettis and Diaz fights after and he was correct.

another parrot. lol.

Why do people think sub is the most likely outcome for RDA. Conor is a brown belt in jiu jitsu. He also plays almost completely defensive. I would say giving up a sub is the last thing Conor will do.

Cause a brown belt may as well be a white belt when hes in there with a seasoned black belt. People forget that his base was actually bjj, and until he began gaining his stripes in muay thai, he was known for his grappling, not his striking.

I don't think you understand. Conor is an expert in defensive grappling. He won't give up a sub unless hes completely rocked.

I donno how you can watch RDA/Pettis and think RDA will beat Conor. RDA is the perfect matchup for Conor.
