It felt really disconnected from the "star wars" universe. Than again, so did all three prequels.

I felt like it was... disappointingly alright, punctuated with prequels-moments.

I think it needed twenty minutes edited away, a tighter story without so many side missions. But the biggest problem is that I can't think where the story goes from here, it felt like they wrapped it up.

I am glad all the original cast is gone, they don't need to shoehorn them in

Unless they do them all the disservice of CGI'ing their likenesses into forthcoming films

Luke could have probably played a more important role than disenfranchised jedi but what do I know. I really don't like any characters and it seems like they are all dumb as bricks. Kylo got beat by Rey who never used a Laser Sword then got trolled by Snoke? WTF?

Luke is back for episode 9 so maybe just maybe. Also with all due respect Leia should have been killed off, she was dead weight for that film.
